We are now seeking an engaged and driven work supervisor for the Facilities unit within Östersunds Municipality.
About the position
The Facilities unit performs land and construction work for the municipality's internal clients. We work with, among other things, land and construction work, minor contracts, reinvestments, and maintenance and operation measures related to the municipality's infrastructure and outdoor environments.
As a work supervisor, you play a central role in daily operations. You plan, lead and allocate work and create conditions with your team members for assignments to be completed safely, efficiently and with the right quality.
You work close to operations and serve as the link between the unit manager, employees, clients and other stakeholders. The role involves both planning and administration as well as significant presence in the field and at our work sites.
Work tasks
As a work supervisor, you will, among other things:
plan, lead and allocate daily work
plan staffing, machinery, materials and other resources
implement orders and construction documents into efficient practical execution
read and interpret drawings, technical descriptions and other construction documents
ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the order, drawings, technical descriptions, AMA and other applicable requirements
monitor production, schedules, quality and resource consumption
actively work with safety and work environment and conduct and follow up risk assessments
coordinate work with internal clients, contractors, suppliers and other affected operations
support and guide employees in daily work
contribute to development of work methods, planning and efficient resource utilization
together with the unit manager, follow up ongoing and completed work.
On-call duties and shift scheduling may occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
experience with water and sewage work, such as installation, renovation and rehabilitation of water and sewage lines
experience with land and construction work, contracting or other equivalent operations
experience with work supervision, production management or other coordinating roles within construction operations
knowledge of AMA Construction and ability to apply relevant technical requirements and descriptions in practical work
good ability to read and interpret drawings, technical descriptions and other construction documents
good ability to plan, prioritize and follow up construction work
good understanding of work environment and safety in land and construction work
good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing
Class B driver's license.
Relevant education within land and construction, building or equivalent is meriting. We also value practical experience and good understanding of how construction production works.
It is also meriting if you have knowledge or experience within, for example:
MER and quantity regulation
contract law, such as AB 04 and ABT 06
BAS-P/BAS-U
Work on roads
estimating and financial follow-up
digital systems for production planning, documentation and follow-up.
