As a work supervisor with us, you will be responsible for leading smaller infrastructure projects. Here you will have the opportunity to make an impact, take initiative, and work both operatively and strategically with work supervision, production planning, and project monitoring. The Environment and Community Development Administration, with over 100 employees, develops and manages the city's and countryside's infrastructure within urban planning, construction, traffic, operations, environment, and business – always with sustainability in focus. The Traffic and Ground Division, one of nine divisions, has approximately 30 employees and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of streets, parks, nature reserves, and traffic systems. Work Responsibilities As a work supervisor with us, you will have a key role. The role includes: planning, leading, and distributing work in smaller infrastructure projects, for example renovation of playgrounds and ground and restoration work after excavation work preparation and distribution of tasks to skilled workers following up on the quality of operations and external maintenance regarding functional descriptions, operating instructions, and maintenance plans monitoring production through our GPS-based quality assurance system ensuring that schedules, quality, and deliverables are met within the operation coordinating subcontractors and ensuring that work proceeds according to plan. You work closely with other functions in the site management, such as operations managers, operations engineers, and work supervisors within operations. On-call duty may be included in the position. Qualifications The role requires: Post-secondary education in streets, landscaping, or construction/infrastructure, or documented work experience in supervising ground/infrastructure or landscaping and outdoor environment work Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Good IT skills and ability to quickly learn new systems Daily experience using a smartphone (iPhone), tablet, or computer for quality assurance and handling feedback from residents Class B driver's license for manual transmission Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented and structured, with a good ability to plan and organize your work. Since the role involves many contact points, both internally and externally, you are a relationship-building person who enjoys collaboration. You take initiative, drive work forward, and see opportunities for improvement. Communication is an important part of the role, and you express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing. Meritorious Qualifications Experience in work supervision within municipal/state operations and maintenance of streets/parks Experience with ground and infrastructure work Experience working in public operations Experience in work supervision within winter road maintenance Reading drawings/setting elevations Experience with contract law, ABT, AMA Employment Terms Permanent full-time employment.
