Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to community development is even more so. With us, you get to do both. We are now seeking a work supervisor for our construction operations in Stockholm. At Svevia, we combine the community spirit and teamwork of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist – with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Who are you? We appreciate it if you have education in a relevant field, for example through a vocational college or technical university. If you have previous experience in the role of work supervisor, preferably in construction projects involving earth work, utilities, and concrete – then you have all the prerequisites to succeed with us.
As a person, you are proactive, solve problems, and tackle the challenges and changes that arise in daily work.
Leadership is and will always remain an important issue for us! We believe in developmental leadership where you as a leader bring out the best in your employees and contribute to building a strong and thriving team.
That you communicate well in writing and speech in Swedish, have computer skills, and hold a B-category driver's license are things we consider essential.
The Work Supervisor Role
As a work supervisor, you work on-site in the construction projects we carry out. Daily supervision, planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects to achieve the right quality and results within the right timeframe and budget are the main tasks in the work supervisor role. Contacts with, for example, customers, subcontractors, and employees are a natural part of the work.
Common tasks and responsibilities:
- Plan and establish schedules for the coming weeks
- Conduct work preparations together with the team
- Morning meetings and check-ins with immediate colleagues and subcontractors
- Communicate, lead, and monitor production progress
- Manage digital project documentation such as invoice review, log, documentation for notifications and change orders, and other quality documentation.
Part of Something Larger
With well-coordinated work teams, we build Sweden from the ground up – in concrete, steel, wood, stone, and earth. And we do it by building roads, bridges, quays, and concrete structures for industry, government, and municipalities. We also break new ground and pave the way for utility networks, wind farms, and development areas. We also have specialized units in foundations and soil remediation. Together with Svevia's other operations in road maintenance and surfacing, you become an important part of a larger societal machinery. This opens up new opportunities for innovation and problem-solving.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team and we make sure to be a workplace for everyone. Decision-making processes are short, it's easy to have an influence and make your voice heard.
We have career paths for you whether you want to become a manager and leader or develop further in your current professional role. It is as a team that we create success. It is how we do business and generate results. It is how we make our cities and countryside function. Do you want to join us on this journey?
