The Employment and Adult Education Administration works to enable more Botkyrka residents to achieve financial independence through work, studies, or other paths to self-sufficient living. The administration is responsible for the municipality's employment initiatives, day activities, adult education, vocational college, and study and career guidance. At the turn of the year, the upper secondary school will become part of the administration, strengthening the connection between education, the labor market, and skills supply. The administration has approximately 400 employees and will grow to nearly 800 after the turn of the year. Through collaboration with the business sector, education providers, and other actors, we develop activities that meet both individual and labor market needs. The Role and Your Responsibilities Do you want to contribute your professional expertise to an activity that creates real opportunities for work and studies for Botkyrka residents? We're looking for a work instructor with a focus on kitchen and café operations who wants to help build the Employment Unit's new approach within the ReBoot Church framework and the upcoming activity requirement. As a work instructor, you work closely with participants in daily operations and have operational responsibility for planning, leading, and following up on practical work. You instruct, mentor, and support participants in their work tasks and create conditions for learning in everyday situations. Work is conducted in close collaboration with employment coaches, group activity leaders, and other colleagues, where your observations and feedback are an important part of the individual's continued planning. Your main responsibilities: - Lead and distribute practical work in daily operations and instruct participants in work tasks with responsibility for quality and safety - Guide participants with special needs through practical activities, focusing on developing basic work skills such as punctuality, following instructions, collaboration, maintaining routines, and developing competencies - Create a safe, structured, and adapted work environment in accordance with the activity's needs and provide clear planning for participants - Collaborate with occupational therapists to adapt work tasks, methods, and tools based on individual circumstances - Observe and document participants' attendance, engagement, and practical development, and provide feedback to responsible personnel - Prepare and organize the kitchen, café, premises, and materials, and ensure that hygiene, order, and safety routines are followed The role involves close work with participants who have varying levels of support needs, where your presence, clarity, and ability to create structure are crucial in workplace-based activities and more. You have an important role in contributing to progress, security, and development in participants' path toward work or other relevant next steps. What We Offer You'll become part of a new unit within the Employment and Adult Education Administration that is under development. Here, work instructors, occupational therapists, and other professionals work together to create interventions for participants both in groups and individually. The work is characterized by close collaboration where practical daily operations are a central part of individual development, and where dialogue and joint planning are important for creating context and progress. With us, you'll have the opportunity to develop your mentoring role and help shape work methods in an activity that is under development. You'll have the conditions to deepen your expertise in mentoring, adapting work tasks, and working with people who need extra support. As the activity develops, there are opportunities to take greater responsibility within your current role, such as method development, introducing new participants, or special initiatives linked to the activity's various operations. You Should Have Completed upper secondary education and relevant professional experience in kitchen and café operations. You have experience working closely with people in a mentoring or supervisory role and are confident in supporting individuals who may need extra structure and support in their daily lives. Other Requirements: - Experience with low-stimulus interaction approaches - Experience working in a coaching, structured, and clear manner in your communication - Experience in practical work where you have worked operatively and side by side with the target group - Experience observing, documenting, and providing feedback on participants' attendance and practical development to colleagues We consider it meritorious if you have: - Pedagogical experience, work in employment initiatives, social work, or similar activities - Experience in service sector work, for example wholesale and retail - Experience working with people with disabilities or other support needs - Class B driver's license To succeed in this role, you need to be collaboration-oriented and comfortable working closely with occupational therapists, employment coaches, and other colleagues in daily work. You share observations, receive guidance, and adapt your approach to create a shared structure around the participant. You also need to be relationship-building and capable of establishing safe, professional contacts with participants who may need extra support. In situations where motivation varies or routines are difficult to follow, you use a stable and clear approach that creates security over time. The role requires you to be organized and able to manage work tasks, routines, and documentation. You work systematically in daily operations and ensure that participants' attendance, development, and needs are followed up clearly. Since the activity is under development, you also need to be creative and find practical solutions on the spot. You contribute to developing work methods, adapting tasks, and creating environments that support participants' progress toward work or the next intervention.
