Your New Job
As a work instructor, you will provide support to our residents in their daily activities, with a focus on developing their independence and practical skills. The work includes supporting participants with product packaging, for example packaging brushes, rollers, and screws. The work involves providing guidance through work tasks to promote participants' learning and problem-solving abilities. The role also includes documentation.
Your Expertise
For the position of work instructor, a completed upper secondary school program in health and care with specialization in intellectual disabilities/psychiatry or children and leisure with a focus on social work/pedagogical work is required. Alternatively, other education that the employer deems relevant.
You have good physical capacity for work involving daily transfers and practical instruction in warehouse and packaging environments. There are periodically high noise levels in the work environment.
You also have work experience from industry or warehouse settings. Alternatively, you have vocational training within the industrial field. It is important that you have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and have worked with low-affect interaction and evidence-based methods. You must be fluent in Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension as there is contact with participants, relatives, guardians, and other professionals, as well as documentation and review of information related to the work.
Meritorious for the position is if you have knowledge of mental health issues. It is also meritorious if you have a Class B driver's license and a forklift license.
We are looking for someone who works independently and in a structured manner, is driven to achieve set goals, and contributes with calm, stability, and professional conduct in various situations. You are skilled at building trusting relationships, have a good understanding of people's different circumstances, and can provide support in a professional and respectful manner. You stand behind the operations' goals and values and work carefully with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvements.

Welcome to Us
Kålgårdsverkstån Daily Operations is located in central Jönköping (Kålgården).
The work team consists of 9 employees and we work with approximately 42 residents.
Good to Know
The recruitment concerns a permanent full-time position. The start date for the position is by mutual agreement. Working hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday through Friday. Recruitment is on a rolling basis and interviews will be scheduled after the application deadline has passed.
Work Instructor is job-evaluated and is found in base group E.
