Operations Manager Construction – Veidekke Skåne Do you want to be part of developing a strong construction operations business – while also developing people, business, and future projects? Veidekke is now seeking an engaged and business-driven Operations Manager within Construction in Skåne and surrounding areas. We are looking for someone who wants to take full responsibility for operations, employees, customers, and results – and who is motivated by creating development together with others. About the role: As Operations Manager, you will have a central role in Veidekke's construction operations. You are responsible for driving and developing the business with a focus on business, production, economics, work environment, and people. You work closely with both employees, customers, partners, and other parts of the organization. The role involves significant personal responsibility and many contact points, where your leadership and ability to build trust become decisive. You report to the Regional Manager. You will, among other things: Have overall responsibility for the business's results, budget, and follow-up Lead, develop, and engage employees and managers Take responsibility for work environment, quality, and safety Develop existing customer relationships and create new business opportunities Participate in bid and business work with line responsibility Ensure efficient and profitable production Follow up on projects and create conditions for good financial results Work strategically on business development together with regional management and colleagues Be a present leader who is close to the business and the people in it Veidekke has a clear focus on involvement – leveraging employee knowledge, ideas, and engagement to create better results. This also runs through leadership and how the business develops. We are looking for someone who: You are a confident and engaged leader with experience from construction or contracting operations. You have a good understanding of how to manage projects and operations with responsibility for both people and finances. We believe that you: Have several years of experience from construction/contracting, preferably including larger projects Have experience in a leading role, such as Operations Manager, Production Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, or equivalent Are experienced in leading other leaders and creating engagement in the organization Have good financial understanding and experience with profit and budget responsibility Have a clear business drive and understand the importance of long-term customer relationships Are structured and have the ability to see both the big picture and the details Are confident in your leadership and dare to make decisions Are passionate about developing people and business Have a strong focus on work environment and safety Relevant academic or post-secondary education is advantageous, but your experience, your leadership, and your business acumen are what matters most.
