About the Job GUTS is a meeting place in Angered for those who identify as girls. We offer open leisure activities three evenings a week. Here young people can do homework, dance, participate in creative activities, or just hang out and meet friends or talk with us adults. With relationship-based work as our foundation, we work developmentally in a safe and separatist space. We strive for young people to have high participation in the activities where they help shape what we do at GUTS. We work with special holiday activities and have summer jobs with a norm-critical focus. We are now developing regular work in schools in Nordost and will therefore start this fall with an open break program several days a week for Angeredsgymnasiet. We have good collaboration with several organizations and associations to bring in expertise and breadth to our activities. We run a leisure activity based on an intersectional foundation with a focus on being a promoting and rights-informing work, as well as providing support in the situation many girls find themselves in. The need for a free zone is great and we have a well-visited activity for young people between 13 and 20 years old. Our focus is young people in Northeastern Gothenburg but everyone is welcome! GUTS meeting place is part of the leisure activities in Gothenburg city. Therefore, we are looking for you who have genuine commitment to young people and their right to meaningful leisure, participation, and opportunity to develop. Angered is a district with great opportunities, strong engagement, and also societal challenges that affect many young people's daily lives. We want to be a place where young people feel community, develop their interests, take responsibility, and have their voices heard. You therefore need to have respect for the reality young people live in and believe in their ability and potential. You see the value of building relationships over time and want to create an activity where young people feel welcome, included, and capable of making an impact. You need to be curious about young people's perspectives, ideas, and motivations. You will be one of four leisure assistants on the GUTS team, and your responsibilities will include managing the open meeting place three evenings a week, organizing and offering activities, providing support and information, and supporting young people in taking their own initiative and responsibility for activities. Qualifications We are looking for you with a higher education degree as a social worker, behavioral scientist, educator, or equivalent, or you who are a trained leisure leader with several years of experience in similar work. It is meriting if you are multilingual and if you have studied gender studies. You are well anchored in working norm-critically and based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and human rights. You have experience working on gender-related assignments with a focus on women's or girls' situations. It is good if you have experience working with honor-related issues with young people. You also need solid knowledge of working in a multicultural environment and about girls' and women's situations in migrating families. You enjoy working with young people and have experience doing so. Most who come to GUTS are in upper secondary or high school. You are a stable and secure person who enjoys young people and are socially confident. You have good conduct and a good ability to create a safe and pleasant environment where you are comfortable being the one who sets boundaries if needed. You are clear in your professional role and act professionally in different situations. You are responsible and have the ability to establish clear goals and plan activities and projects well in advance. You are confident in speaking to others about the work at GUTS. You enjoy doing activities with young people, have an active personality, maybe like dance or sports or are creative and enjoy creating. It is good if you have knowledge in antiracist work or experience working in a multicultural environment, as we meet many girls from migrating families. We offer you a fun and varied position where you together with young people get to participate and make a difference. The position includes evening work 2-3 evenings a week. For this recruitment, we will not use a personal letter but will use selection questions instead. Interviews will be conducted on Monday, October 5. Warmly welcome with your application!
