Hospitals in the West is a department within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals –
Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist care of the highest quality.
We at Department 8
Department 8 is part of Medical Operations at Kungälv Hospital. Our department is structured so that each team of nurses, nursing assistants, paramedics, and physicians has excellent conditions to utilize the resources and respect the integrity of one another and our patients.
We are a specialist medical department specializing in Intermediate Care (IMA), hematology, gastroenterology, arrhythmias, and diabetes. The department has specialist expertise and advanced technology to care for patients requiring acute medical care. Department 8 works closely with other medical departments at the hospital.
Duties and Work Methods
Work in the department is knowledge-intensive, developmental, and exciting. We practice person-centered care, which means that all professions – nurses, nursing assistants, paramedics, and physicians – work as a unified team together with the patient. We are seeking a colleague ready to meet patients with various needs and you should be able to handle acute situations and remain calm under stress.
We are looking for someone who wants to join us in creating and developing our department and our work methods.
Qualifications
You must be a licensed nurse and experience in our specialties is an asset. For us, it is important that you are driven by a desire to be part of developing care with the patient at the center, as well as actively sharing your knowledge with colleagues and equally eagerly learning from their expertise.

Work Schedule
Employment covers all hours of the day, but for this position we are currently seeking a nurse who wishes to work exclusively night shifts.
