About us
Specialized palliative care is care provided to patients with complex symptoms or whose life situation creates special needs, delivered by a multidisciplinary team with specialized knowledge and expertise in palliative care. The teams consist of physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Based on the patient's often complex needs and life situation, all professions contribute to optimizing palliative care. As a registered nurse, you have an important role in the team.
PRT is responsible for patients needing specialized palliative care who are cared for in their own homes in Gothenburg City, Mölndal City, and in Partille, Härryda, and Öckerö municipalities. PRT operates 7:30-21:00 every day of the week.
ASIH is responsible for patients in the southwest district 24 hours a day, every day of the week. Your workplace is Högsbo Hospital and in patients' homes.
About the job
You focus on the patient and their loved ones and support the municipal healthcare service and nursing staff in daily work.
Examples of work tasks include home visits, managing referrals, rounds, following up on medication orders, participating in care planning, and having a coordinating function across different professions and care facilities.
The teams are organized by different geographic areas. Specialized palliative care is provided to patients regardless of their living situation.
We offer you an exciting position with focus on the patient and their loved ones in team collaboration with high expertise in specialized palliative care. You will be offered good development opportunities, training in the specialty, and supervision. The operation is in continuous development to create safe, secure, and equal care, while maintaining focus on a good work environment.
We are looking for a registered nurse with experience in palliative care. Your commitment to this patient group, as well as your knowledge and experience, are central to the team and the development of palliative care.
Meritorious qualifications include experience working in specialized palliative care and/or experience in comparable care organizations for specialized palliative care such as Hospice or similar operations.
You have excellent ability to collaborate in a team as well as work independently. You have good teaching skills and excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing.
Travel during work is required; a driver's license is mandatory.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
