Your Assignment In your role as a nursing assistant at Kärråkra special care home, you will provide our residents with care, service, and support, as well as organize social activities based on their individual needs and wishes. The work is person-centered and we use implementation plans. We base our approach on the resident's conditions in order to adapt the support provided as much as possible. Your work includes motivating and stimulating the resident to maintain their ability to participate and remain independent. We use low-affective interaction, and it is important that you are calm and confident in your role as a nursing assistant. Our different professional roles work as a team to develop interaction and action plans based on BPSD assessments (behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia) and Senior Alert, which are also regularly evaluated by the team. We work with active contact person support where collaboration with family members is an important part of the work. Your duties also include administering medication when delegated this task by a nurse. Documentation is done in the LifeCare journal system. At Kärråkra, we work according to schedules covering days, evenings, and every other weekend. About the Workplace Kärråkra special care home with a dementia focus is located just next to a green area in Eslöv. The home consists of 4 units with a total of 56 apartments distributed over 2 floors. We share an entrance with the health center and on the ground floor, Kärråkra restaurant is open daily for lunch or coffee. The building also houses our day activity center Alegården, with which we have close collaboration. Kärråkra is a 20-minute walk from the train station and if you choose the bus, it only takes 10 minutes.
