Do you have experience in electrical power and are driven by finding solutions to complex issues? As a Connection Engineer at Geab, you will help create conditions for new energy solutions to be established and developed on the island. With us, you will help enable the connection of consumption facilities, solar farms, wind turbines, and battery installations that contribute to Gotland's future energy supply. This role suits you if you enjoy diving into regulations, analyzing technical conditions, and finding ways forward for customers and projects. Here you can combine technology, customer dialogue, and societal benefit in a role where your work makes a real difference. About the Position As a Connection Engineer, you are the customer's gateway to the electrical grid and have a central role in ensuring that the connection process is carried out correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with technical requirements and local conditions. In this role, you navigate between technical requirements, regulations, and customer needs to find sustainable and business-viable solutions. You work independently on your own cases while collaborating closely with colleagues, customers, installers, contractors, and authorities. You become an important part of the energy transition on Gotland by contributing to the connection of both new properties and future energy production. Here's What You'll Do Investigate and coordinate connection applications for both electricity users and producers. Interpret legislation, regulations, and industry standards to ensure correct and sustainable solutions. Develop technical solution proposals, grid calculations, and estimates for new connections. Handle matters related to solar power, wind power, battery storage, and self-produced electricity. Coordinate and lead dialogue with customers, installers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Contribute to developing efficient working methods and processes within connection operations. In this role, you have overall responsibility for customer-initiated grid connections, service changes, and temporary installations. You plan and design connection projects, provide quotations to customers, and execute and manage grid agreements. With us, you work independently but in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders in connection matters, where you are responsible for coordinating contact with customers, installers, and contractors. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex issues and is motivated by working at the intersection of technology, customer value, and societal development. Requirements Post-secondary education in electrical power, energy, or project management, or equivalent professional experience. Good computer skills. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Basic knowledge of economics, time tracking, coordination, and prioritization. It is meritorious if you have experience with customer contact, installer or contractor operations, and electrical grid design, for example in dimensioning, grid calculations, electrical design, or technical documentation. About You You are an engaged and structured person driven by improving and streamlining processes. You are flexible and easily switch between different tasks to get things done. You like to take initiative, work solution-oriented, and have the ability to turn ideas into concrete results. At the same time, you are responsive and appreciate collaboration with others to achieve common goals. Since the role involves many contact points, both internally and externally, you are a confident communicator who easily creates and develops trusting relationships. You enjoy dialogue with customers, installers, contractors, and other stakeholders and can adapt your communication to different audiences and situations.
