Do you want to lead and manage ambulance healthcare in real time? Ambulance healthcare in Region Norrbotten is seeking engaged and experienced professionals for the Internal Healthcare Operations Management role. In this position, you will have a key responsibility for leading, prioritizing, and managing ambulance healthcare resources, with patient safety, accessibility, and a clear holistic perspective as your focus. Internal Healthcare Operations Management is a central function within ambulance healthcare with the authority to make decisions regarding the management and control of prehospital resources. Decisions made within this function are equivalent to decisions made by management. The work is conducted in close collaboration with SOS Alarm, dispatch operators, and regional and external management partners. You will contribute a prehospital perspective to work involving prioritization, dispatch coordination, and patient management, both in daily operations and during special events. We are looking for We are seeking a licensed nurse with specialist training in ambulance healthcare or equivalent specialist training in emergency care. You have good computer skills and experience working with digital systems to support operational work. Additionally, you have documented prehospital experience and are comfortable working in high-pace environments where conditions can change rapidly. It is meritorious if you are an ambulance nurse. You communicate clearly, have strong collaboration skills, and a well-developed holistic perspective that allows you to balance different needs and perspectives. You have good multitasking capacity, work in a structured manner even under pressure, and are accustomed to making quick and well-founded decisions. What you will work with In this role, you will work with operational management and provide qualified support to the ambulance dispatch coordinator in managing ambulance healthcare resources. You will monitor and assess emergency calls with priority 1, cooperative alarms, and assault alarms, as well as other alarms that may involve threats and violence. When the situation requires it, you will make decisions about deviations from standard operational procedures to ensure patient-safe and appropriate interventions. The assignment also includes secondary areas of responsibility where you coordinate and plan secondary transports, both within and outside the region, with a focus on efficient and patient-safe resource use. Collaboration is a central part of the work. You provide support to dispatch operators in interpreting regional directives and make decisions about healthcare interventions during cooperative alarms, for example in difficult terrain. When necessary, you collaborate with local emergency physicians or helicopter physicians. You also handle matters related to personnel, work environment, safety, and events involving threats, violence, and other stressful situations. The role also includes assessing cases in the dispatch center's virtual waiting room and collaborating with regional and municipal healthcare resources. This work is carried out as time permits and based on operational needs. You will serve as Internal Command 25-50 percent of the employment. The remaining part of the position will be placed within ambulance healthcare or another department with a focus on emergency care. Working hours are Monday - Sunday, day/evening shifts. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements. The position is classified for security purposes, which means that security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) and the Security Protection Ordinance (2018:658).
