The Faculty of Medicine is one of the largest faculties at Umeå University and attracts many students with an extensive range of programs in medicine, dentistry, health, and care. The Department of Molecular Biology is seeking an engaged student in the civil engineering economics program who wants to work with tasks that have a clear connection to their studies. The student assistant position is 20% of full-time and is time-limited to 6 months, starting as soon as possible by agreement. Work Tasks As a student assistant, you will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and contribute to the work of the Department of Molecular Biology. The work tasks consist primarily of posting invoices, following up on accounts payable, and handling questions about invoices and payments. Some financial administration and simple bookkeeping may occur. In your work, you will receive support from a controller and an economist at the department, as well as assistance from the central level if needed. Eligibility Employment as a student assistant is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5. Only those admitted to education at the basic or advanced level may be employed as a student assistant (HF chapter 5 §10). Qualifications We are looking for you who study in the civil engineering economics program at Umeå University and have completed studies corresponding to at least a pass in the course Accounting C, have good knowledge of accounting, and have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Terms We are seeking a student assistant for 6 months, with a desired start as soon as possible by agreement. The position comprises 20% of a full-time position. Salary according to UmU's local collective agreement and the salary is determined by the number of university credits you have completed.
