About Us
Alingsås District Court has 30 employees with diverse competencies and professional roles. We handle approximately 2,500 cases annually and receive many visitors daily. Our operations are conducted in pleasant facilities located in Alingsås with good transportation connections. We are an open and modern workplace with engaged employees. The Work
As a security officer at Alingsås District Court, you will provide service in many different ways to both the public and internally at the court. You will work in a group with a few colleagues with varying and developing tasks in a meaningful and interesting operation. The role as security officer includes staffing the court's reception, working with internal service and security, being able to assist with technical support for alarm systems, CCTV, video hearings, and other technology. The role also includes a considerable amount of administrative work, including opening mail, handling incoming emails, releasing public documents, IT matters, jury management, case management, and other administrative tasks. The role as a security guard includes staffing the court's security checkpoint and ensuring that it is calm and secure in the court's hearing rooms and in public spaces. The position involves some evening service when hearings sometimes continue after regular working hours. Weekend on-call duty also occurs when the court is on weekend standby.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
• has completed upper secondary education (three-year gymnasium) or other equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent
• has a valid security guard license with authorization to serve at a court security checkpoint
• has several years of work experience
• is fluent in Swedish in speech and writing and has good knowledge of English
• has good competence and interest in IT and technology
• has good computer skills
• has good administrative ability and willingness to work on administrative tasks
Experience serving as a security officer/security guard in Swedish courts and knowledge of the court's specific IT programs, as well as other experience in service, previous work with administrative elements, or knowledge in technical matters may be considered as merit.
The role as security officer places high demands on collaboration and communication skills. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and attitude. To succeed in this work, you must enjoy having contact with people and building trust, enjoy working with service, and be able to work both independently and in a group. You should be calm, confident, able to handle stressful and unexpected situations. You take own initiatives and have good judgment, are thorough and responsible, flexible, and accustomed to working digitally. During periods of high workload, your ability to prioritize and plan your work is especially important. Of course, you contribute to our good workplace culture.
