About the role
As an Elderly Pedagogue at Villa Kvarnen, you will become an important part of our team and work actively in daily care work. The position involves scheduled work during day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend.
Beyond care work, your role as an Elderly Pedagogue carries special responsibility for strengthening and developing collaboration with relatives and the residents' social networks. You plan and conduct activities and forums that create participation, promote good communication, and contribute to cooperation around the resident's life situation and function-preserving interventions.
You also serve as a support to the care team in matters concerning approach and a function-preserving working method, and actively contribute to developing the quality of the operation.
As an Elderly Pedagogue, you are responsible for the operation's communication on social media and have assignments as a language representative, documentation supporter, and quality representative.
About Villa Kvarnen
Villa Kvarnen is a modern care and residential facility offering both short-term and permanent places. The operation is designed to create a safe, meaningful, and individually adapted daily life for each resident. We also have a special unit for younger people affected by dementia, where we work with a person-centered and function-preserving approach.
Your experience and knowledge
We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker, behavioral scientist, occupational therapist, or has other equivalent qualifications. You have a few years of experience in elderly care with a focus on dementia and want to work in care work in combination with the areas of responsibility included in the role.
We are looking for someone who
has a pedagogical approach and enjoys working in a team and supporting colleagues.
has experience and knowledge in addressing behavioral problems.
is independent, can make your own assessments, and make decisions.
has good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement.
