ABOUT THE ROLE: Our client is a global defense and security company active in aerospace, land, and maritime defense, civil security, and commercial aviation technology. Technically, they are leading in many areas and one-fifth of their revenue goes to research and development. Friday is now looking for a commercially minded contract attorney who wants to work closely with the procurement organization in an international and high-tech operation. You will be part of a small specialist group responsible for contract matters, contract management, and regulatory compliance within procurement. The group supports several parts of the business and functions as business-focused legal support in both ongoing matters and larger and more complex projects. In the role, you will support procurement staff and other internal functions in commercial contract negotiations. You will review and analyze contracts, identify legal and commercial risks, and contribute to finding solutions that both protect the business and work in practice. You will also handle matters such as processes, intellectual property, compliance, sustainability, and quality. Your responsibilities will include: Analyze and review contracts and legal documents Support the procurement team in negotiations, both in Sweden and internationally Assist with strategic support to manage supplier deviations and terms Participate in designing and ensuring agreements that meet both business objectives and legal requirements WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO: • Have a post-secondary degree in law, business law, or equivalent • Have a few years of professional experience in the field, preferably in commercial contracts and contract negotiations • Have a clear business interest and understanding of how law can be used to enable business and create practical, workable solutions • Possess fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is an advantage if you have experience from procurement, compliance, or working in a larger international organization. Knowledge of French or German is also an advantage! As a person, you are independent, responsible, and accustomed to driving matters from start to finish. You are confident and grounded in your competence, while at the same time being communicative, patient, and skilled at building trust in negotiations. You have a pragmatic approach and the ability to find balance between protecting the business from legal and commercial risks and developing solutions that work in practice. Since the role is broad and the pace is sometimes high, we also see that you are structured, flexible, and comfortable prioritizing between several parallel tasks. ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT: This position requires that you undergo and be approved by the current applicable regulations for security clearance. For positions where our client has requirements for security classification, if applicable, may require certain citizenship. This is a consultant assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.
