About the role As a Prototype Technician, you will work on building, modifying, maintaining and repairing our prototype and pre-series cars. You ensure that the vehicles are safe, roadworthy and representative for development, testing and demonstration. The work takes place close to engineers and test teams, where you are an important link between design and real drivable product. Main responsibilities Vehicle assembly & modifications: Assemble and modify prototype vehicles according to engineering instructions, build specifications and change notes. Install and remove prototype components. Support rapid configuration changes between test runs or events. Diagnostics, repair & maintenance Perform mechanical, electrical and electronic diagnostics on prototype vehicles. Identify root causes of problems and take corrective action in collaboration with engineers. Perform planned and unplanned maintenance to keep test vehicles in safe and roadworthy condition. Install and remove data collection systems, sensors and logging equipment as needed. Documentation & feedback: Document all work completed in build and maintenance documentation.
