We are looking for someone interested in a combination position where you work 50% as unit manager for the medical secretary unit and 50% as unit manager in shared leadership for the Orthopedic Department in Örnsköldsvik. The Orthopedic Department at Örnsköldsvik Hospital is part of the regional Orthopedic operation. The care unit conducts both planned and acute operations focused on orthopedic injuries and illnesses. Here nurses, nursing assistants and kitchen staff work in collaboration with doctors, secretaries and rehabilitation professionals. The Medical Secretary Unit in Orthopedics consists of 6 medical secretaries who serve our units within orthopedics at Örnsköldsvik Hospital and also work across the region when needed. The secretary unit works in close collaboration with the doctors. The medical secretary unit has extensive expertise in patients' administrative processes. The employment is a permanent position in the base profession and the management assignment is time-limited with the Region's leadership policy as a guideline. As a manager in Region Västernorrland, you represent the employer and exercise leadership that is grounded in good self-insight and characterized by honesty, openness, sense of responsibility and personal courage. Duties You lead the secretary group forward to best meet patients' needs, which requires responsiveness and continuous development of the unit. Approximately 50% of your position is devoted to the orthopedic department where you share leadership with another unit manager. In addition to being responsible for part of the staff group, you place great focus on strategic work with competency supply and internal processes. As unit manager, you report directly to the operations manager. You are part of the management team for Regional Orthopedic Operations, where you actively work towards the operation reaching its set goals. Nephrology outpatient care includes investigation, care and treatment of complicated cases of kidney disease. The unit consists of a hemodialysis clinic, self-dialysis clinic, PD clinic and nephrology clinic, which have close and well-functioning cooperation. You will join our team at the hemodialysis clinic where kidney patients come to regularly receive blood dialysis. Here, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and kitchen staff work together as a cohesive team. We also have close cooperation with a dietitian, physiotherapist and medical technician. Some points that represent us are that we always put patients at the center and base our approach on the individual's self-care ability. In dialysis, we usually establish a long-term care relationship with patients. We are now looking for two nurses for our team! The positions are permanent employment, full-time, with temporary placement at our Dialysis Clinic. Start date is by agreement. Work tasks Work as a nurse is varied, including both nursing care and medical technical care during the work shift. We have individual scheduling and currently work daytime, Monday to Friday, but this may change based on the operation's needs. Individual training takes place over eight weeks following an introductory program. About the operation The Quality and Patient Safety operation is part of the Patient Safety, Development and Research Department in Healthcare. The operation acts as an expert and advisory function in matters related to quality and patient safety with the aim of contributing to safe care. The operation includes several different functions including a pharmaceutical unit, healthcare hygiene, chief physician and patient safety coordinator. You will primarily be part of a team consisting of patient safety coordinators, chief physician and case handlers. We work across the region, which involves travel within the region. We are now looking for a patient safety coordinator for Quality and Patient Safety! The position is a permanent employment at 50% where you work clinically for the remaining 50%. The start date is 2026-10-01. The placement location is in one of the cities Örnsköldsvik, Sundsvall or Sollefteå and will be determined in dialogue with the recruiting manager. Work tasks As a patient safety coordinator, you work with various initiatives to support the operations' quality and patient safety work, including investigations into suspected serious healthcare damage, risk analyses and nursing matters. We have a proactive direction in our work through, for example, patient safety training for operations, identifying improvement areas within patient safety in dialogue with operations, and highlighting good examples.
