Göteborgs Symfoniker AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Western Sweden Region. Operations are conducted in historically protected premises at the Concert Hall at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg and is one of the largest cultural institutions in Western Sweden. The Concert Hall hosts a large number of events annually in the form of concerts and conferences, both organized by us and through rentals to external organizers. Concerts featuring our own orchestra, Göteborgs Symfoniker, constitute the main part of our concert activities. Göteborgs Symfoniker is Sweden's National Orchestra, an orchestra with international renown. Job Description As café staff at the Concert Hall, you work in a dynamic environment and are part of creating an unforgettable evening for our visitors. You meet expectant guests, both new visitors and returning patrons. Your responsibilities include offering our concert guests a simple bar selection consisting of beverages, snacks, and sandwiches before and during the intermission of concerts. You are responsible for your own bar, ensuring it is stocked and clean, you take care of our guests and prepare for the intermission, and you close the bar and kitchen at the end of the evening. You work both independently and as part of a team with colleagues. In addition to managing café sales, you also participate in evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency and safely guide the audience out together with the evacuation supervisor. The workplace is located in historically protected premises at the Concert Hall at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg. Work shifts are usually scheduled for evenings and weekends, with the exception of conference shifts which are typically scheduled during daytime. Shifts are normally 3-6 hours long, and you need to be able to work at least two shifts per week. Qualifications You have documented experience in service within the café or restaurant industry. Being able to take initiative and having good teamwork skills are important, as our greatest focus is on our guests. This means you have excellent customer service skills and a good sense of hospitality. We have great diversity in our audience, so you need to be able to communicate in Swedish, and we would appreciate if you speak multiple languages.
