Your Workplace Imaging and Functional Diagnostics (IFD) in Värmland is a dynamic and technologically advanced operation that encompasses radiology, mammography, and clinical physiology. Radiology clinics are located in five communities throughout Värmland: Karlstad, Torsby, Arvika, Kristinehamn, and Säffle. As a radiologist in Värmland, you will be part of a team consisting of 25 specialists/senior physicians and 15 residents in the region. The operation is jointly organized with an overall manager, scheduler, and coordinator, creating excellent conditions for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Your Responsibilities As a radiologist in Torsby, you work broadly in general radiology, with image interpretation and examinations in conventional radiography, computed tomography, and ultrasound. On-call duties in the evenings and weekends are part of the position. In Värmland, there are three on-call lines for radiologists: primary on-call, backup on-call, and remote on-call, enabling flexible and sustainable on-call organization. At night, external image interpretation occurs via Teleconsult, both weekdays and weekends. Your primary placement is in Torsby, but work at other hospitals in the region is possible by agreement. Remote work opportunities exist to the extent operations allow. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are seeking someone with Swedish medical licensure and specialist competence in radiology. You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience with conventional radiography, CT, and ultrasound, as well as basic competence in ultrasound-guided intervention. Experience with magnetic resonance imaging is advantageous.
