University Lecturer in Medical Research - Specialist Physician/Senior Physician
The position is placed at the Faculty of Medicine. Departmental placement is determined in connection with the appointment. Facilities, other infrastructure, and resources for the position are financed according to the faculty's current model. The position will be combined with employment as a specialist physician/senior physician. Since the subject is defined as medical research, there is no specific need to fill. The purpose of the appointment is to recruit internationally competitive researchers with documented ability to conduct independent, high-quality research and with clear potential to develop into future leaders in academia. Duties Duties primarily include independent research and development work as well as supervision of master's and doctoral students, but also teaching at undergraduate level, leadership, and administration. Other duties may also be included. Qualifications Eligible for appointment as a lecturer according to the Higher Education Ordinance 4 chapter 4 § is a person who has both demonstrated pedagogical competence and completed a doctoral degree or has equivalent scientific competence or other professional competence that is relevant considering the subject content of the position and the duties to be included in the employment. The applicant must have completed university pedagogical training equivalent to at least five weeks or acquired equivalent knowledge in another way, unless there are special reasons. The employee must then complete university pedagogical training during the first two years of employment to meet this requirement. Senior Physician - Specialist Physician in Mammography, Sunderby Hospital
Do you want to shape the future of mammography? Then this is your chance! Our mammography unit consists of 11 radiologic technologists, three radiology specialists, and three residents in mammography. The operations include both clinical mammography and screening. The clinical mammography clinic is located in newly renovated facilities as part of the regional imaging and functional medicine clinic at Sunderby Hospital. We have five permanent screening units distributed across the respective hospitals in the region with a catchment area of approximately 250,000 inhabitants. The clinical operations focus on mammography and ultrasound, and to a limited extent, MRI. With an additional specialist on the team, we look forward to the opportunity to develop our operations through the introduction of both VAE (Vacuum Assisted Excision) and contrast-enhanced mammography. As a senior physician, you must have: Several years of well-documented clinical service (minimum 4 years) as a specialist physician with broad and comprehensive knowledge in the specialty and/or relevant subspecialty required for work in the section Documented teaching and mentoring qualifications (including approved resident supervision training) A doctoral degree with active research in a relevant field is advantageous. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. What you will work with Serving as a senior physician entails increased responsibility compared to serving as a specialist physician. A senior physician: Shall have medical knowledge and competence to be independently medically responsible for a certain area and participates in overall responsibility for their specialty as well as overall responsibility for the clinic's total operations.
