General Psychiatry in Piteå is a specialized psychiatric outpatient clinic serving the catchment area of Piteå Älvdalen, which includes the municipalities of Piteå, Älvsbyn, Arvidsjaur, and Arjeplog. We are a team of approximately 70 employees providing psychiatric outpatient care with various treatment and evaluation services for individuals aged 18 and above. Our goal is to offer high-quality, evidence-based, and person-centered care.
Our team includes professionals such as psychologists, nurses, psychiatric nurses, behavioral scientists, specialist physicians, social workers, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, and administrators. As part of Division Nära, we continue to develop our operations toward even more patient-focused, accessible, and person-centered care.
Within the clinic, we also operate a Specialist Psychiatric Care Team (SPOT), which works preventively to reduce the need for inpatient care, decrease hospital stays, and provide early interventions with high patient involvement. This fall, we are also launching a new initiative in our psychosis services. By strengthening and further developing this work, we create better conditions for coordinated, flexible, and person-centered interventions for patients with psychotic disorders, with a focus on continuity, participation, and high-quality care.

About You
We are looking for a licensed specialist physician in psychiatry with previous experience working in specialized psychiatric care. You have strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We consider it an asset if you have experience with the Cosmic and VAS electronic health record systems. Previous experience as a Medical Director (MLA) is also seen as a merit.

Your Role
As a senior physician or specialist physician with us, you will be an important part of our clinic's development. Your position may involve work in psychosis services, the general psychiatric outpatient clinic, or a combination of the clinic's operations, depending on departmental needs and your expertise, experience, and areas of interest. Depending on your qualifications and experience, the position may also include a role as Medical Director (MLA).
Your work will encompass medical assessments, diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up within specialized psychiatric outpatient care. You will work in teams alongside other professionals, participate in treatment planning and development work, and contribute medical expertise to evaluations. Depending on your competencies, experience, and interests, you may also participate in, for example, medication rounds, ECT rounds, psychosis rounds, or the department's ADHD work. There are also opportunities to work closely with experienced teams, such as the psychosis team or SPOT team, and contribute to the continued development of care approaches and quality within these specialized areas. The role also includes mentoring colleagues as well as AT, BT, and ST physicians, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Position Information
We offer a permanent full-time employment at General Psychiatry, Piteå Hospital. Working hours are daytime with on-call duties as needed. Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Start date is by agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
