The Pediatric Care department in Norrbotten is a county clinic and is part of the Division of Medicine and Emergency Care. Here, the specialties of pediatrics and adolescent medicine and pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation work closely together, and extensive collaboration is conducted with child and adolescent psychiatry as well as with other care partners within and outside Region Norrbotten. The catchment area is small in terms of population but large in terms of area. Given the large distances, a multifaceted operation is conducted where virtually all patient categories are cared for. On the physician side, we currently have three senior physicians and one specialist physician in Gällivare.
