However, few techniques can detect them today. We are seeking a motivated researcher to develop and apply a mass spectrometric technique (proton transfer mass spectrometry, PTr-MS) for detection of individual oxygenated organic radicals in air, within the prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Advanced project EPHEMERAL. The work will encompass characterization and optimization of a state-of-the-art Time-of-flight mass spectrometer (PTr-MS) and use of other instruments to detect these radicals in laboratory and in air. This position will be within the Nozière group at the Department of Chemistry at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.
