About the position Trees represent the single most important carbon sink on the planet. An incomplete mechanistic understanding of carbon sequestration to wood limits our ability to predict the capacity of trees to assimilate CO2 and optimize the production of sustainable wood derived materials and fuels. This project will address this problem by investigating metabolic fluxes leading to biomass formation using innovative metabolomics and isotope techniques. Operational Technician at Siemens Energy

Job Description We are now seeking an operational technician for Siemens Energy in Finspång for the department that currently processes their components. The department works with manufacturing blades and guide vanes for turbines. Finished castings are purchased from external casting suppliers and then processed through grinding, drilling, grading, and inspection. Approximately 50 employees currently work in the department, distributed across two managers, and work in various shift arrangements. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to juggle multiple tasks and who drives initiatives and projects independently. You are curious and interested in continuously improving processes and work methods. We highly value knowledge and experience in programming and automation, such as robot programming. The role will also involve frequent use of other computer programs and systems (such as Office, SAP), so experience and knowledge in these areas are advantageous. As a technician, you are responsible for ensuring the right conditions exist to operate the machine—which includes cell programming and development of tools and processes. As a technician, you also interact with various functions within the company, such as machine maintenance, engineering, procurement, and quality. As an operator, you are responsible for the daily operations of the machine—running the correct order at the right time and with the right quality, as well as implementing operational improvements and machine maintenance. You will also provide support to manual grading and spend part of your workday there. The position is currently assigned to day shift, but shift arrangements may change depending on needs.
