The unit is part of the Child and Family area under the Individual and Family Support Department. The area works with a family-oriented approach, which means the entire family system should receive a comprehensive and coordinated needs assessment. The area is led by an area manager and is divided into four units, each with its own unit manager and mentor: Child and Family Investigation, Ages 0-14 Youth, Family, and Disability Reception and Investigation Family Care and Placements Family Support As a social secretary in Child and Family Investigation, you work with children and young people ages 0-14 and their parents. Your responsibilities include: Responsibility for investigating children's needs for protection and support, analyzing and assessing intervention needs, and following up on granted interventions based on the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act. Working according to current guidelines and legislation to ensure lawful authority exercise. Responsibility for independently and in collaboration driving and managing all processes in cases. Working in the child's and family's best interest, collaborating with colleagues and other professionals both within the unit and administration as well as with external providers/activities. Your Competence and Experience We're looking for someone driven by commitment, interest in development issues, quality assurance, and a team-based approach. A requirement for working with child welfare investigations is that you have a degree in social work. For this position, you also need to have experience with authority exercise regarding children and young people as well as good knowledge of current legislation. It's a merit if you have worked with BBIC and Signs of Safety. It's positive if you also have experience with/knowledge of EARL, SAVRY, MI, iRisk, and FREDA screening questions.
