Nurse for the Acute Care Unit/Urgent Care Clinic

Here, fast decisions are made – but we think long-term. As a nurse at the Acute Care Unit and Urgent Care Clinic in Köping, you are an important part of a secure and dedicated team. You work closely with physicians, follow patients through the most critical stages of the care chain, and contribute to an operation that grows with the future – where we are serious about staying. Job Responsibilities As a nurse with us, you work in a varied role that combines clinical precision with human presence. The work takes place both at the Acute Care Unit and the Urgent Care Clinic, which provides a dynamic workday with both high pace and more stable care situations. At the Urgent Care Clinic, you meet patients early in their care journey. You triage, sort, assess, take samples, stabilize, and make initial decisions together with physicians. At the Acute Care Unit, patients with acute conditions such as heart attack, stroke, sepsis, and intoxications are cared for. It is more of a ward-like environment with high monitoring requirements and advanced medical technology such as CPAP, OptiFlow, and bilevel. You work in a multidisciplinary team where your role is central. Variation in tasks and pace allows you to develop both medically and in your professional judgment. About the Workplace We are a unit with two distinct parts – the Acute Care Unit and the Urgent Care Clinic – but with a shared mission: to provide safe and skilled care to residents of Västmanland who need us. The Acute Care Unit has 9 beds (with possibility for overflow) and is responsible at night for emergency assignments within the hospital. Average length of stay is approximately 2–4 days. The Urgent Care Clinic is an adult medical clinic open day and evening, every day of the year. Patients of all ages with all types of complaints come here - but with a focus on adults. Patients are assessed and referred to the appropriate care level when needed. We are small enough that you can see the whole picture, but large enough to offer breadth and development. We work closely with other units in the care chain and have a strong culture of collaboration, responsibility, and patient focus. From the start, you receive an individualized introduction with mentoring and a safe onboarding to one unit at a time. We believe that security is the foundation for development – that's why you get to grow at your own pace. Right now, the operation is in an exciting phase where Region Västmanland is investing in new healthcare buildings in Köping. Our unit is an active part of that development – and we welcome you who want to be part of shaping the future of acute care. For us, it is important that you feel well and enjoy your job, so we offer you: a customized introduction program so you feel confident and secure in your professional role opportunities for professional development through, for example, internal training a workplace for different stages of life, so we offer several different working time models, such as three-shift, shift work, and pure weekend service free training at our fully equipped gym wellness allowance 3000 kr/year More about your benefits can be found here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ Curious? Feel free to contact us if you want to book a no-obligation conversation so we can tell you more. Or would you like to come shadow us to get an insight into our work and see the facilities? Contact us and we'll arrange it! Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse – or close to graduation – with a genuine interest in acute care. Experience or further education in acute care, cardiac care, or MIMA is a merit. But the most important thing is that you want to be part of it. You need to be able to make your own decisions and be confident in your professional role – but also enjoy working in a team where collaboration and trust are central. You need to be flexible in your thinking, quick in situations, and at the same time retain the ability to pause – and meet people in vulnerability with warmth and respect. We work in life's difficult events. It requires more than competence – it requires humanity. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Terms of Employment Permanent employment 100%. Day/evening/night and 2 weekends out of 5. We offer different working models such as three-shift, shift work, and weekend service. Start date by agreement. We apply individual and differentiated pay setting. Application Welcome to submit your application by September 3, 2026. We are looking for a teacher to substitute in textile crafts while our current teacher takes parental leave. Rosenholmsskolan is located in Forserum and is Nässjö Municipality's only F-9 school (grades preschool through 9). According to forecasts, the community and school are growing. Currently, the school has approximately 415 students ranging from 6-16 years old. Forserum is a small community that is easily accessible from both Nässjö and Jönköping. It takes about 15 minutes by train. The school has highly qualified teachers and operations are in constant development. Since it is Nässjö Municipality's only F-9 school, we want to leverage its advantages. Decision-making processes are fast and we are flexible in our work methods. We are a school that works with entire grade levels rather than class divisions. We have chosen this approach to create flexible groups based on, for example, subject matter and/or student needs. Each class always has at least two mentors/class leaders. We have an active student support team with special educators assigned to different classes. The team meets weekly to discuss student matters as well as preventive work at both group and individual levels. Our goal at Rosenholmsskolan is for all students to be seen and challenged according to their own circumstances, experiences, and needs. To ensure all students feel safe at school, we place great emphasis on our values-based work, which we call STARS. We develop our abilities to respect each other's differences and together create a stimulating learning environment. Increased learning - equality - meeting places; three key values that characterize all work in Nässjö Municipality's schools, a mid-sized municipality with approximately 30,000 residents in the Småland highlands. To realize this, the municipal council has adopted a strategic and long-term development initiative for preschool and schools in Nässjö Municipality. Within the Children and Education Department, we work consciously and goal-oriented to provide each child and student with the tools needed to seek knowledge throughout life. The goal is for each child and student to develop according to their circumstances and experience joy and pride in their achievements. 1 position(s). DUTIES The primary responsibility is teaching. Together with school leadership and colleagues, you will lead and develop the school's daily operations for increased goal achievement. As an applicant, you need to be flexible and knowledgeable in many different areas. You enjoy challenges and finding solutions for individual students' different needs to succeed in compulsory school. Your duties include teaching textile crafts in grades 3-9, and a handover from the current teacher will take place. If possible, you may also have the opportunity to work alongside the current teacher initially. QUALIFICATIONS • Have a teaching degree with certification to teach textile crafts or other experience in teaching and textile crafts • Are flexible and responsive to change • Have good organizational skills • Have a positive attitude • Enjoy challenges • Show strong commitment to our students • Can create a good working environment with both students and staff We place great importance on personal suitability. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, EU, EEA or Switzerland, you must be able to present a valid residence/work permit or be able to prove that you are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Background checks may be conducted before employment. In certain positions, digital identification (e.g. BankID) is required to perform work tasks. The identification is used only to confirm your identity in the systems. In preparation for the recruitment process, we have taken a position on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly decline contact from media sellers, recruitment sites and similar.
