The Fire and Rescue Service in Strömstad Municipality operates two fire stations, one in Strömstad and one in Skee. We aim to be one of the best rescue services in Västra Götaland, alongside Halden, Tanum, and Sotenäs municipalities, which are our collaboration partners. 4 position(s). JOB DUTIES In Strömstad Municipality, firefighters, also called on-call rescue service personnel, are employed part-time in our rescue service. This means that as a firefighter, you have a regular employer and work on-call as a firefighter alongside your main job. With us, you are on-call as a firefighter every fourth week, which means that if an alarm comes in during your on-call period, you leave your workplace, your training session, or your Friday plans to respond as a firefighter. Work as a firefighter is varied and can range from fires and traffic accidents to providing medical care while awaiting an ambulance.
