The social services administration has a total of approximately 30 management positions, and with this floating manager role, we create reserve capacity and can ensure continuity and quality in our work. The social services administration consists of 600 employees with a broad range of responsibilities. The administration is divided into five operational areas and operates throughout the municipality. Here we are responsible for providing care and support, assistance and services, as well as health and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life. This includes, among other things, special housing, personal assistance, day activities, short-term housing for children and youth, housing support, group and service apartments, independent living support, home care services, and welfare, health and medical care. A day as a floating manager in the social services administration The role of floating manager involves substituting for regular managers in cases such as temporary absence or management transitions, within all activities of the social services administration. You gain overall responsibility for the unit you are working in, which means you work operationally and have budgetary, personnel, and workplace environment responsibilities. Assignments vary in duration from 2 weeks to approximately 3 months. As a floating manager, your primary tool is your employees and their competence. You and the employees work together to ensure that operations move forward and that our citizens receive the help and support they are entitled to. Additionally, you are required to maintain collaboration with your current management team for the assignment and other professionals. In this role you will be employed at the social services administration office, and your direct supervisor is the social services manager. The assignment is structured so that if there are periods without a management assignment, you will strengthen the office staff in, for example, investigation work, at the request of the social services manager. You will work from the office located in central Krokom, have access to municipal rental cars, and travel during work time. Your competence We are looking for you who: • has at least one year of documented experience working as a manager, preferably within social services administration in a municipality • has relevant higher education, for example as a social worker, human resources specialist, or in law • holds a class B driver's license As a person you are independent, engaged, and confident in making decisions in your work. You also need to be confident in your role as a leader. You adapt easily to new conditions and find it exciting to challenge yourself in new situations. You are flexible and need to have the ability to work independently while also having good collaboration skills. The ability to inspire, motivate, and lead employees, while being receptive, building trust, and maintaining good relationships are important qualities. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Other information The position is a permanent employment as a unit manager within the social services administration in Krokom Municipality, full-time. Start date by agreement.
