During the day you will assist and support him at his job. You are calm, present, with a sense of humor, and understand that you will sometimes need to stay in the background. His disability means you will be his arms and legs in various situations, but he leads and plans his assistance himself. As his assistant you will help with personal care, mobility, household tasks, and other activities. Being a non-smoker and having a driver's license is a requirement as driving his car is part of the job. You will also need access to your own vehicle to get to and from work. We are seeking a personal assistant for a 42-year-old man with several cognitive functional impairments. This is a scheduled position with a service degree of approximately 90%. You will work in a team that shares a consistent approach regarding attitude, structure, and routines. The work includes both personal care, assistance with all practical household tasks, and the use of pedagogical methods, i.e., we work with clarifying pedagogy. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the days have meaningful content. You will receive training on functional impairments and method use, as well as supervision from a psychologist. You always work together with a colleague. Expectations of You You should ideally have experience working in care services. You should be easy to collaborate with, flexible, and open to new methods and ways of working. You will work according to a rotating schedule: day/evening/overnight on-call.
