We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Assistant
Your responsibilities Are you an experienced accounting professional who thrives with significant independent responsibility and wants to work in an organization where quality, structure, and development are in focus? Then this could be your next career step. We are now seeking a Senior Accounting Assistant for our client in Södermanlands County. In this role, you will have independent responsibility for ongoing accounting and become an important part of the finance department. You will work closely with the finance manager and serve as qualified support to both operations and other finance colleagues. About the position: As a Senior Accounting Assistant, you are responsible for ensuring a correct and efficient accounting process. You work both operationally and with a development focus, contributing to improving routines and creating efficient finance processes. Your responsibilities: -Manage customer and supplier accounts. -Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts. -Handle VAT reporting and basic tax matters. -Work with accruals and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. -Prepare payment proposals and perform bank reconciliations. -Participate in audits and prepare requested documentation. -Identify and drive improvements to finance processes and internal routines. -Collaborate with operations and external parties on financial matters. Your profile Upper secondary education with an economic focus or post-secondary education in economics or accounting. -At least 3–8 years of experience in qualified accounting work. -Documented experience with independent financial statement preparation. -Strong knowledge of VAT reporting, account reconciliations, and tax management. -Experience with modern ERP and accounting systems. -Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Meritorious: -Experience with project accounting. -Experience with process development and digitalization. You take significant independent responsibility, enjoy working independently, and have an analytical and solution-oriented approach.
