The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic is a regional clinic with reception units in Umeå, Lycksele, and Skellefteå. The clinic also includes a BUP inpatient ward located in Umeå. The Intermediate Care Unit (IMA) is a relatively new care unit, which means we are still developing the unit together. It is a 24-hour operation and patients come to us from throughout the hospital. Patients cared for at IMA require a higher level of care than on a regular ward, but not as advanced as in intensive care. At IMA we have five care beds divided into two care teams, and the average length of stay is approximately 1-2 days. Learn more at: Elicron Responsibilities As a quotation engineer, you are responsible for ensuring a smooth flow from quote and customer order to handover to production. You work early in the business process and gather, structure, and quality assure information from multiple internal functions to create accurate and feasible calculations and production setups. The role involves a large internal network and close collaboration with sales, design, production, production management, and procurement. You work with both new projects and recurring quotes, often in deals with longer lead times where the product is developed together with the customer over time. The focus is on creating the right conditions from the beginning – technically, in terms of capacity, and from a business perspective. You also contribute to improvement work through post-calculations, follow-ups, and development of working methods, and are responsible for master data in the business system. The business is characterized by customized solutions, long-term contracts, and close collaboration between market, design, production, and procurement. The quotation function, design, and procurement teams are located close to each other physically, which creates short decision-making paths and tight day-to-day collaboration. You will become part of a team with high technical expertise where the role is viewed as business-critical – the information developed at the quotation stage sets the framework for how the products are manufactured. Examples of work tasks: Prepare quotes and production plans by calculating materials, time, machinery, and production setups Ensure that the right information is available from the quotation stage through to handover to production Provide input to sales and customer teams regarding capacity, restrictions, and business implications Find solutions to optimize order profitability in collaboration with production planning, procurement, and logistics Perform post-calculations, manage changes, and drive improvements in dialogue with internal stakeholders Education, experience, and personal qualities College degree with relevant specialization Experience from manufacturing industry and industrial production Experience with production planning, cost estimation, or related technical roles Good understanding of the entire order flow, from quote to delivery Experience working in business systems (preferably Monitor) and understanding master data (e.g., articles, EOQ) Background as a designer, production manager, or production director is advantageous Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written To succeed in the role, you need to be organized and comfortable working with many parallel contacts.
