In January 2024, the Trauma Clinic Center for Sexual Health opened in Malmö, a nationally unique operation located at Skåne University Hospital. Our mission is to offer medical and psychological care at the regional level to individuals who have been subjected to sexual abuse, as well as to function as a knowledge center. Our team consists of general practitioners, midwives, psychologists, a social worker, and medical secretaries. We work continuously to develop our operations and to inform our healthcare colleagues as well as citizens within Region Skåne about our services. With us, you will be offered continuous supervision, continuing education, and opportunities to develop care for sexual abuse survivors. The Trauma Clinic offers person-centered care with high accessibility, based on the best research evidence. The clinic's operations are team-based and structured in two care pathways: - Early intervention care pathway for individuals 18 years and older who have been subjected to sexual abuse and who seek care within the first two months after the abuse. - PTSD care pathway for individuals 16 years and older who have developed post-traumatic stress disorder following sexual abuse, regardless of how much time has passed since the incident. DUTIES As a specialist physician in general medicine with us, you have a central role in the continued development of the physician function at the clinic. Through your general medicine expertise, you assess ill health following sexual abuse in patients 16 years and older and are responsible for appropriate medical interventions.
