I am an 18-year-old boy who needs extra support in my daily life. I am active and like to stay busy. I live in my own apartment in central Olofström, where there are good bus connections. During school terms, I attend school and after-school activities, where I communicate with pictures. In my free time, I like being outdoors. My "roller" has a third wheel so I can get around almost anywhere. I can stand on my own feet and exercise in my standing frame regularly (at least 60 minutes/day). I really like music. Others might get tired of hearing the same songs over and over, but familiar music makes me happy and calm. Routines are important to me, and my assistants work systematically throughout the day to create clarity. Since I don't have spoken language, frustration can sometimes arise. It's important that you notice early signs and can redirect me in time. It's important that I know what will happen and feel prepared. When people don't understand me, I can get "flash angry" and maybe throw something on the floor or wave my arms. Then it's important that you as an assistant stay calm and don't get scared.
