About the Role As a personal assistant, you help the customer with what comes up in their daily life. Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (the Act on Support and Services for People with Disabilities). Each customer is unique, and work tasks vary based on individual needs. The work may include, for example, help with mobility, personal care, exercise and communication, as well as everyday chores and activities in and outside the home. You respect the customer's self-determination and integrity and contribute to making everyday life function safely and smoothly. To thrive as a personal assistant, good personal chemistry between you and the customer is important. Since each assistance is unique, we will learn more about you during the recruitment process to create the best possible match. You will receive information about which customer or customers you may work for and how the work is organized in each assignment. At Humana, it is important that both you as an assistant and the customer feel secure in the collaboration. Therefore, all new assistants receive customized introduction training, both to the professional role and to the specific customer you will be working with. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is good at building strong relationships, has great commitment, is willing to take responsibility, and adapts easily to new situations. Since all our customers have different needs and wishes, we ask you to answer the screening questions as clearly and thoroughly as possible – this increases the chances that we can match you with the right assignment. We are now looking for someone who meets the following: has good knowledge of Swedish has a B driver's license for manual transmission cars has experience and knowledge of autism, ADHD, and mental illness has experience with challenging behavior and self-harm behavior you have previous experience with low-affective approach want and can work around the clock (varied with both active and on-call time) It is also advantageous if you: are a solution-oriented, self-driven, and calm person Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours and Employment Type As a temporary assistant, you work as needed for one or more of our customers in Kalmar. Working hours vary based on customer needs, but shifts are usually scheduled between 07:00-07:00, 08:00-08:00, or 09:00-09:00. Shorter shifts also occur at the following times: 14:30-08:30, 06:00-00:00, or 07:45-23:30. There are both single and double assistant duties as well as active and on-call time at night. We try as far as possible to match your availability and preferences with the organization's needs. Please describe your availability and any preferences regarding working hours in your application. Start Date According to agreement. Working at Humana A requirement to start employment with us at Humana is that you as an applicant can present a valid ID and any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old. According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a register extract from all employees who will work as a personal assistant for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to provide an extract from the police criminal record and suspicion register before a potential employment.
