About Us On Ward 2, we work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapist, social worker, dietitian, speech therapist, and physical therapist. We also have a coordinating nursing assistant Monday-Friday who handles all incoming calls, transport orders, logistical planning of patient admissions and discharges, internal hospital contacts, and communication with external facilities. Norrtälje Hospital is a smaller acute care hospital characterized by a pleasant atmosphere and close collaboration between different professions and departments. The ward has 24 patient beds, divided between 12-15 orthopedic beds and 8-12 stroke and neurological beds. We conduct both acute and elective orthopedic surgical operations.
