Östgötateatern with Ung Scen Öst is part of Scenkonst Öst, which also includes Östgötamusiken and Norrköpings Symfoniorkester. Together we create performing arts and music experiences with both breadth and excellence for audiences throughout Östergötland. Scenkonst Öst was founded in 2016 and has approximately 240 permanent employees as well as a large number of temporary staff. As Technical Director, you are responsible for Östgötateatern's technical production department and its personnel, which includes theater technicians, stage managers, lighting, sound, transport, props, and technical coordinators. The department consists of 20 permanent employees as well as additional staff brought in as needed. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the theater's productions are planned and executed at a high technical level, where artistic ambitions can be realized in the best possible way. The Technical Director reports directly to the Theater Director and is part of the theater's management group, and is therefore expected to contribute to Östgötateatern's overall public and strategic goals. The person we are seeking has: - Relevant education for the position, preferably theater technical education or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent. - Documented work experience as a manager and/or supervisor within performing arts. - Very good knowledge of the technical needs and planning prerequisites for performing arts production, as well as understanding and experience of working in artistic processes. - Knowledge of finance, budgets, procurement and purchasing. - Knowledge and experience of systematic workplace safety work. You have a developed safety mindset and knowledge of industry-specific collective agreements. - Ability and experience in quickly switching between strategic and operational focus.
