Job description As Study Director/Chief Répétiteur, you hold a senior position within our music team and play an important role in guiding and maintaining the artistic quality of the company. You are a key person in the preparation and delivery of our productions. You will plan and coordinate the work of our experienced house répétiteurs and, in each production, be responsible for supporting our casts through coaching. Alongside playing for operatic productions, the position includes coaching soloists, both permanent singers and guest artists, in the operatic repertoire. You will also contribute to the development and performance health of our successful Malmö Opera Chorus by regularly coaching members of the chorus. In addition to rehearsal work and vocal coaching, you will be responsible for our important collaboration with the Malmö Opera Academy, where our Master's degree programme for opera singers and répétiteurs is conducted in collaboration with the Malmö Academy of Music at Lund University. Qualifications We are looking for an experienced répétiteur and vocal coach. You will have broad experience of playing the standard operatic repertoire in a professional context, a deep understanding and knowledge of vocal technique, and proven experience as a vocal coach. The position places high demands on flexibility, responsibility and organisational skills. You have very good communication skills and are straightforward and clear in your leadership and decision-making. You will primarily work with the delicatessen and bread departments, creating sandwich cakes, desserts, and other delicacies. In addition to working in the delicatessen, you will also handle cashier work, stock management, merchandising, and ordering.
