The oncology business area provides specialized care and treatment for patients with diagnosed cancer in Region Gävleborg. We have outpatient clinics, a clinical trial unit, day care, radiation therapy, PICC-line clinic, inpatient ward, and a palliative care unit. In total, we have approximately 150 employees. The palliative unit is led through shared and closely collaborative leadership, where two care unit managers jointly oversee the entire operation. We have an experienced care unit manager responsible for Gästrikland, and in this recruitment we are looking for you to take responsibility for Hälsingland. Together, you will create stability, direction, and favorable conditions for an operation where presence, collaboration, and warm professional care are essential. Nursing Assistant to Iggesund Home Care Service

We are seeking committed staff members for home care services in Hudiksvall – Iggesund Home Care Service. 1 permanent position & 2 temporary assignments for 12 months. Job Responsibilities Your work will primarily involve personal care in ordinary homes. Personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, help with meals, shopping, and housekeeping are some of your responsibilities, but you will also be responsible for documenting according to current procedures and responding to emergency alarms. In your role, you will be the assigned care contact for service users, which includes tasks such as developing and implementing care plans. You should have an interest in rehabilitative work, as our goal is to support service users to live as independently as possible. In your work, you will collaborate closely with professionals such as nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Home care in the municipality works continuously on improvements to create a safer daily life for our service users, and we are therefore strengthening the municipality's home care teams with additional nursing assistants to ensure that all service users can be offered an assigned care contact. Through this change, we aim to raise the quality of our work and create a safer daily life for both service users and staff. You will work days, evenings, and weekends. Flexible shifts may occur, and you need to be flexible and prepared for potential transfers to other units if needed. As a new team member, you will receive a thorough introduction. Your Profile We are looking for someone with nursing assistant training. It is advantageous if you have experience in elderly care in general and home care specifically. You will use a computer, smartphone, and car in your work, so digital familiarity is desirable and a driver's license (Category B) is required. Your duties include communicating with various parties verbally and in writing, so you need to have a good command of the Swedish language. As a person, you are: self-driven and responsible, attentive to needs, observant of areas for improvement, have good collaboration skills, and provide good and professional treatment. Home care is a constantly changing operation, so you need to be flexible, able to work under pressure, and solution-oriented. You act in accordance with decisions, operational plans, objectives, policies, and guidelines.
