About Us At the School of Music at Örebro University, artistic and scientific perspectives meet with knowledge and learning in an environment where different aesthetic expressions interact. In the subject of music pedagogy at the School of Music, education is provided within the subject teacher program and the theatre pedagogy program at basic and advanced levels. We also conduct music pedagogical research within the context of the doctoral program in musicology. Job Responsibilities As a university lecturer or university assistant, you dedicate your working time to teaching at all levels and research, as well as associated collaboration. In addition to teaching, research and collaboration, your duties include development work, administration and professional development. Teaching also includes supervision, examination, course development, planning and evaluation. Teaching takes place primarily within music pedagogy with a focus on didactics, scientific methods and critical thinking in the Subject Teacher Program and Theatre Pedagogy Program. Teaching in related programs, such as the Bachelor's Program in Music, Culture and Media, the Artistic Bachelor's Program and the Master's Program in Music and People also occurs, as well as in standalone courses. Pedagogical leadership assignments such as course, sub-course and program responsibility are included in the position. Teaching is conducted primarily in Swedish but teaching in English also occurs.
