Join and Drive an Italian Restaurant in the Mountain World
Restaurang Montagna opened in central Tärnaby in Västerbotten's inland this winter and focuses on pizza, pasta, and à la carte dining. We're looking for staff who want to make a difference for many people and in many ways as part of a small team. Initially, we're seeking a pizza baker who can make pizza from scratch. We'd prefer if you also have cooking experience or at least the desire to learn more about à la carte cuisine. You'll have an important role and make an impact from day one in our growing business—in other words, you should be willing and able to work independently and with drive in the kitchen. We need you starting Wednesday, July 8th or as soon as possible. The position is initially at least 75% and is a trial period through the end of August. Our hope and goal is to expand our opening hours or days and offer full-time positions year-round. Desired qualities: Independent, responsible, initiative, positive, service-minded, communicative, reliable in action and punctuality, enduring, able to function in a team, and unpretentious. Language requirements: Fluent Swedish, very good English, and preferably understanding of Norwegian.

Work Tasks The position requires very high proficiency in the Sami language and its means of expression. You will work with various tasks: Work on investigations and preparations within the language field Respond to referrals, for example regarding place names and personal names Administrative support within the language field to Sametinget's politicians Support and promote Sami language use internally at Sametinget Minor translation work at Sametinget Participate in pan-Nordic language work where Sami is the working language Handling of grant administration Other tasks as needed Travel is included in the position Qualifications You have academic credentials in one of the Sami languages at an academic level C. You have excellent ability to express yourself both orally and in writing in one of the Sami languages. You must also have good command of Swedish in both speech and writing. You should have good knowledge of Sami culture and society. It is meritorious if you understand and can communicate in other Sami languages. Experience working in public administration and/or politically governed organizations is desirable. Personal Qualities In this position, it is important to be self-directed as you drive issues independently, which requires structure and flexibility. You should also have good teamwork skills as you will work with others. You will handle multiple tasks simultaneously and sometimes work with deadlines. The Sami Parliament is an elected Sami parliament and a state authority since 1993. The Sami Parliament's mission is to promote and develop a living Sami culture, participate in community planning, and ensure that Sami needs are considered. Do you want to work for increased use of the Sami languages and strengthen Sami speakers? Do you enjoy leading and developing? The Language Center works to strengthen the Sami languages and their speakers, to increase the use of Sami languages, and to develop methods for language revitalization. Our primary target group is children and young people. We collaborate with other institutions and organizations in our work. Job Responsibilities As Unit Manager, you will lead the Language Center's employees in language-strengthening projects and method development. You work strategically and operatively. You have responsibility for results, economy, and operations of the Sami Language Center and responsibility for the work environment of the Language Center's employees. Other responsibilities include reporting operations to the board and committees, work with procurement and agreements such as collaboration agreements, assignment agreements, and use of copyright-protected material. Additional responsibilities may occur. Travel is included in the position. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with higher education or university education in areas relevant to the Sami Language Center, such as project management or languages, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience. You must have experience with project-based work. You have good communication skills in speech and writing and the ability to compile facts and write reports within the field of operations. You must have a good command of one of the Sami languages in speech and writing and have good knowledge of Sami society and the Sami languages through education or work experience. It is advantageous if you can speak and write several Sami languages. It is also advantageous to have experience in managing staff and experience working within public operations or politically governed organizations.
