WorkCenter is Surahammar Municipality's labor market unit. We offer support and activities to people outside the labor market with the goal of strengthening their skills and opportunities for work, studies and self-sufficiency.
The operations include café activities, second-hand store, the Leisure Library and assignments within the municipality's various departments. With us, participants get a meaningful everyday life and the opportunity to grow at their own pace. WorkCenter is part of the Business Development Unit and works closely with the municipality's work on skills supply and business development.

WORK TASKS
Do you want to make a real difference in people's lives while leading operations in collaboration between several government agencies? Our current operations manager/social consultant is planning to retire, so we are looking for a new engaged and driven operations manager for the successful Coordination Team in Surahammar Municipality. In this role you will have a key position in leading and shaping operations that successfully support individuals on their journey toward work or studies. The position is a combined role where you work 25% as operations manager for the Coordination Team and 75% as a social consultant.
In your role as operations manager for the Coordination Team, which is conducted within the framework of FINSAM, you are responsible for leading, coordinating and developing a cross-agency collaboration assignment. The assignment aims to strengthen individuals' opportunities to approach the labor market and achieve self-sufficiency. As a social consultant, you also have a close participant focus and work operatively to support individuals in their development toward greater independence and self-sufficiency. The work includes, among other things, group leadership, individual conversations and collaboration meetings with participants and relevant actors.
You have overall responsibility for the planning, quality and development of the operations as well as for ensuring effective collaboration between the participating parties. The role also includes responsibility for monitoring, analysis and reporting of the operations' results, where you compile, among other things, an annual report to the funder. Through systematic development work you contribute to the operations achieving their goals and continuing to develop based on the needs of participants and collaboration partners. You are also involved in the operations' financial work and have, together with the responsible unit manager, shared responsibility for budgets, monitoring and financial planning.
Your work tasks:

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have relevant higher education in social work or equivalent, have experience of collaboration between government agencies and/or rehabilitation work. You are structured, responsible and solution-oriented, with a genuine commitment to supporting, developing and motivating people in change processes. You are confident in your professional role and have a good ability to meet and handle varying situations with professionalism, judgment and a calm approach with the ability to work both strategically and operatively.
You thrive in a leadership role where you take responsibility, drive the work forward and create structure and direction in the operations. With your own drive and good initiative you actively contribute to both the daily work and the operations' development.
You contribute to a professional and respectful work environment and care for good collaboration, both within the team and with external actors. You have a development-oriented approach and see opportunities to improve work methods and structures.
Furthermore, you are self-directed while having very good collaboration skills and understanding of the importance of shared responsibility. You are accustomed to meeting individuals with varying needs for support and guidance and have the ability to adapt your approach based on the individual's circumstances.
The position involves working in a close-knit work group where close dialogue, trust and unpretentious collaboration are essential to achieve common goals.

Coordination Team Surahammar is a joint initiative between Surahammar Municipality, the Swedish Employment Agency, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and Region Värmland. The operations are financed by the Coordination Association of Värmland. In the team you work together with an employment officer and a curator. Together you support people aged 16-67 who need coordinated efforts to approach work or studies. We work solution-focused, with both individual support and group activities, where the focus is on strengthening the individual's own resources and opportunities for self-sufficiency.
Before you can be employed, you must present a valid extract from the police criminal record and from the suspicion register that is no more than 6 months old.
In connection with the interview, you must verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a certificate of identity together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA or Switzerland, you must present a valid work permit or be exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
