About the Role As a music teacher, you will primarily teach students in grades 4–9, with the opportunity to also teach in preschool through grade 3 depending on your qualifications and how the position is structured. Music plays an important role at Metis, and we're looking for you to help awaken students' curiosity, creativity, and desire to express themselves through music. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: ✔ Inspire and challenge students through creative, varied, and joyful music instruction. ✔ Give students the opportunity to develop their musical skills through singing, playing instruments, creating, and making music together with others. ✔ Plan and carry out performances and musical presentations at, for example, school closings, St. Lucia celebrations, and other shared activities. ✔ Collaborate with engaged colleagues to develop the school's educational work. ✔ Contribute to a safe and stimulating school environment where students have the opportunity to develop both academically and socially. ✔ Be a clear leader and a responsive educator who sees each student and their individual needs.
