JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Would you like to help develop support for the elderly in Sjöbo Municipality? We are seeking an engaged elderly coordinator who wants to work preventatively and promote health so that older people can live an independent, active, and meaningful life.
As an elderly coordinator, you will be an important contact for elderly residents and their relatives. You guide people to support, activities, and social settings and help make the municipality's services more accessible and coordinated.
An important part of the work is to prevent illness and loneliness and to strengthen older people's participation and opportunity to be active in society. You will also contribute to increased digital inclusion by helping elderly people access digital services and solutions.
The position is shared between the Authority Unit and the municipal primary care. You collaborate with the municipality's activities within care, welfare, and authority functions as well as with associations, civil society, volunteers, relatives, and other actors. The position is a project employment for one year, with the possibility of extension.
We are looking for someone who wants to help create more coordinated, preventative, and close support for the municipality's elderly residents.
Job Responsibilities
· Be a contact person for the elderly and relatives and guide them to appropriate support, activities, and services.
· Work proactively and preventatively to identify needs early.
· Develop and coordinate the municipality's preventative work for the elderly.
· Plan and lead Senior Sport School and other health-promoting activities.
· Start and follow up on activities that promote health, safety, participation, and community.
· Create good collaboration between the municipality, associations, non-profit organizations, and volunteers.
· Contribute to the development of the municipality's preventative work and the work with Good and Close Care.
· Participate in collaborations and development work that strengthens support for the elderly.
· Contribute to increased digital inclusion by informing about and guiding toward digital solutions and welfare technology.
· Be visible and accessible at the municipality's meeting places and other places where elderly people gather.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is engaged in matters concerning the elderly and who sees the value of working preventatively. You are social, initiative-taking, and good at building trust. You enjoy collaborating with others, but can also plan and drive your work independently.
We would like you to have:
Relevant education in, for example, social work, public health, care and welfare, or other equivalent education.
Experience in coordination, collaboration, or development work.
Interest in how digital solutions and welfare technology can strengthen elderly people's independence, security, and participation.
Experience of collaboration with associations, volunteers, or non-profit organizations is meritorious.
Knowledge of the social services and health care mandate is meritorious.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Selection takes place on a rolling basis.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration, start date: 2026-12-01, end date: 2027-12-01.
Working hours: Daytime.
