Job Description We are now seeking an engaged and confident licensed physical therapist for a long-term consulting assignment. The assignment involves medical evaluation, assessment, diagnostics, and treatment of patients at the primary care level. The work is performed on-site at the client's premises. The operation demands high standards of continuity and patient safety. We are therefore looking for someone who wants to take on a long-term assignment. Fixed appointment days make this assignment very flexible to combine with your own clinic/practice, other employment, or if you simply wish to work part-time and want a rewarding part-time position. Scope: 8.5 h/week, even weeks: Wednesdays 7.30 - 16.45 and odd weeks: Thursdays 7.30 - 16.45, lunch break 45 min. Period: Long-term assignment from March 1, 2027 to February 28, 2031, with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities Conduct medical evaluations, assessments, diagnostics, advice, and physical therapy treatment of patients at the primary care level Maintain patient records and continuously document medical interventions in the organization's patient record system in accordance with applicable procedures Assess medical need and prescribe and coordinate adapted assistive devices in accordance with applicable regulations Work closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and safe patient care Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible as the assignment may be filled before the final application deadline. About Us The Rehabilitation Team in Sala Municipality is a great and ambitious group consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants. We are responsible for rehabilitation services throughout the municipality's elderly care as well as in the functional impairment sector. Your Responsibilities As a physiotherapist at an assisted living facility, you will be responsible for rehabilitation services at one or two of our facilities in central Sala. You will be based at the unit and work in a team together with an occupational therapist, rehabilitation assistant, nurses, unit manager, and care staff. You will plan your days independently and, through a person-centered approach, you will perform physiotherapy assessments, evaluations, and interventions (such as exercise and prescription of assistive devices) based on the individual's specific needs, goals, and circumstances. You will have a natural and active role in the patient team regarding preventive and rehabilitative measures at both individual and group levels. There are great opportunities for experience sharing and collegial support as needed, as you will have daily contact with your colleagues in the rehabilitation team. You will also have the opportunity to perform administrative tasks at our shared offices at Sala Hospital. In addition to direct patient care, your responsibilities will also include supporting, supervising, and to some extent training care staff in areas such as functional and activity-preserving approaches, ergonomics, transfer techniques, and assistive device management. Together with the unit manager and colleagues, you will also be involved in the department's quality and development work. It may also be relevant for you to supervise students from Mälardalens University. What We Are Looking For We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist (or physical therapist), preferably with a couple of years of professional experience. Previous experience in municipal rehabilitation or work at assisted living facilities is a merit, as is further education in areas such as dementia, geriatrics, or other areas the employer finds appropriate. You are committed to your work, work well collaboratively, and can communicate in a pedagogical manner with patients, colleagues, family members, and other partners.
