JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for an engaged and driven Family Foster Care Coordinator who wants to join us and maintain high quality in this important work within foster care in our municipality. You will help drive development in foster care together with a colleague. The team is solution-focused and takes care of each other and the contractors we work with. We are located in the same building as our child investigators, child secretaries, and unit manager, which means close proximity to management and colleagues. As a Family Foster Care Coordinator, you are responsible for recruiting, investigating, matching, and continuously supporting and coaching foster families and emergency care homes. Contact persons and contact families are also investigated by us. In working with foster families, you will collaborate with the child's social worker and other stakeholders around the child. We strive to work together based on the child's best interests and work as a team together with the child, biological network, and foster family. You should have good language and analytical skills. Documentation takes place in the Viva case management system. You will manage contracts and current allowances for families. Our foster families are spread throughout the area, which means travel as part of the job, so a Class B driver's license is required. Many foster families have pets, so it's good to be prepared for that as home visits are part of the work. Work tasks are sometimes of an urgent nature, so you need to be flexible, creative, and enjoy solving problems. Work outside office hours may occur. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is trained as a social worker or who has another university degree that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working in social services with children, young people, and families. We would like you to have experience in foster care. It is advantageous if you have relevant further education in a foster care assessment method, foster care coaching training, and if you are a training leader in a "home to grow in" program. Relevant training opportunities will be offered. As a person, you are curious, attentive, courageous, and have an easy way of creating a good collaborative climate and are relationship-building. You have very good knowledge of child development and have the strength and courage to discuss difficult situations and manage long-term relationships. You have good empathetic ability and can quickly understand another person's perspective or situation. You also have the ability to see the whole picture and view issues in a broader perspective. As a Family Foster Care Coordinator, you work with many stakeholders, which means you need to be confident in your professional role and be able to work both independently and in collaboration with others. This requires that you have a reflective ability regarding both your own approach and concerning the children/families.
