Security Coordinator with focus on Security and Emergency Preparedness

About the operation Hylte Municipality offers important public services where safety, security and emergency preparedness are in focus. As a Security Coordinator, you will be part of the municipality's newly established security unit at the administrative office within the municipal administration. The unit consists of a Security Manager, a Safety Coordinator, an Information Security Coordinator and two Security Coordinators, of which you will be one. Within the group, everyone has their own areas of responsibility, but work closely together and take a joint approach to reduce vulnerabilities and avoid the risk of working in silos. The unit drives strategic, municipality-wide work in security and emergency preparedness and works closely with the municipality's various departments to support them in measures within the areas we are responsible for. Tasks In the role of Security Coordinator, you will have an important role in the municipality's work to strengthen capacity in crisis preparedness and civil defense, as well as the municipality's overall security capacity. The role involves both operational implementation and development of governance, planning and monitoring within security and emergency preparedness. You lead, guide and develop work with security protection together with the Security Protection Manager and serve as qualified support to operations on security and emergency preparedness matters. Your duties may include: develop and manage the municipality's war organization lead work with risk and vulnerability analysis, continuity management and other emergency planning support work with security protection contribute to the municipality's information security work develop governing documents, procedures and decision-making materials follow up implemented measures and support operations in their security work plan and conduct training, exercises and information initiatives cooperate with internal and external actors such as emergency services, police, county administrative board and other municipalities. Following up and reporting on completed initiatives is a natural part of the assignment. The role will develop over time based on the municipality's needs and your experiences. There are therefore good opportunities to influence both working methods and areas of responsibility. Qualifications We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a safer society and has strong commitment to security, crisis preparedness and civil defense issues. You are structured and analytical with a good ability to see the big picture and drive work forward independently. To be relevant for the position, we see that you have: University education or post-secondary education in social sciences, security, security protection, crisis preparedness or similar field. You may also have other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant and equivalent. Strong ability to analyze risks and vulnerabilities and work in a structured and systematic manner Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Good collaborative skills and experience working both independently and together with others Pedagogical ability and interest in training and sharing knowledge Swedish citizenship It is meriting if you have experience in coordinating matters covered by the position or other coordination in municipal operations. Since the safety coordinator will be on extended leave, we are now seeking a security coordinator with a focus on crime prevention work. Part of the position also includes coordinating issues related to security, crisis preparedness, and civil defense. Within the group, everyone has their own areas of responsibility, but works closely together and takes a joint approach to reduce vulnerability and avoid working in silos. The unit drives strategic, municipality-wide work on security and preparedness and works closely with the municipality's various departments to support them in measures within the areas we are responsible for. Duties As a security coordinator, you will coordinate the municipality's crime prevention work in accordance with law (2023:196) in close cooperation with the Police Authority. The duties include coordinating, supporting, and monitoring crime prevention work, developing situation reports, root cause analyses, and action plans, and planning, implementing, and following up on initiatives. You will lead relevant working groups, inform about the work internally and externally, coordinate efforts against violent extremism, and be responsible for coordinating and reporting damage reports on the municipality's properties. Together with other colleagues, you will also be responsible for issues related to security, crisis preparedness, civil defense, and information security. The work includes training, development of governing documents and plans, handling referrals, and extensive internal and external cooperation. The role will develop based on the municipality's needs and your experience, which provides good opportunities to influence both working methods and areas of responsibility.
