Pysslingen Preschools seeks an engaged and development-focused childcare worker
As a childcare worker at Pysslingen Preschools, you will help us realize our promise of "A safe and stimulating world full of possibilities" for children, guardians, and colleagues alike.
We are looking for you to join us and help continue to make our preschool even better!
Skrindan preschool is located on the outskirts of the Ribby residential area. Our facilities offer children excellent opportunities for learning through play. In a caring environment, we create learning and development together. At Skrindan, we explore our local surroundings and visit our beautiful nature, using a project-based exploratory approach centered on children's interests. Discussions about the concepts of learning and knowledge are part of our educational work. Relational learning is a cornerstone of our view of knowledge—children learn together in meaningful contexts. The pedagogical environment contributes to children's development and should be clear and inspiring for them. At our preschool, it should be safe, educational, and fun for children!
It is important that you, as someone wanting to work as a childcare worker with us, feel curiosity and great drive in your role.
About the role
We value drive and curiosity in your work as a childcare worker. A day at preschool is filled with different interactions between children and educators. Each interaction is meaningful and part of the child's security, development, and learning.
We see that you have strong skills in planning, pedagogical reflection, and following up on children's learning. Our approach is to divide children into smaller groups throughout the day, which supports their well-being, development, and learning. This means you are responsible for implementing and documenting the planned teaching that you have prepared together with your team.
Collaboration across the entire preschool is important to us. You are employed at the preschool, not in a specific classroom.
Practical requirements
You must have childcare worker training, upper secondary education in the care program, children and leisure, or other education deemed equivalent.
You have 3-5 years of experience working as a childcare worker.
You have knowledge of children's development, rights, and needs.
You have strong knowledge of systematic quality work and participate in and contribute to the preschool's systematic quality efforts.
You have excellent skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Additional skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are a plus.
You can work varying hours, including opening and closing shifts.
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who is flexible, highly motivated, and who can easily see what needs to be done. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developmental environment for each child and for all children at the preschool.
- You have a positive and attentive attitude toward children and adults
- You feel great commitment to your work and have strong personal drive
- You are accustomed to taking responsibility and are a responsible person
- You adapt easily to changing circumstances
- You are able to work independently as well as demonstrating good collaboration with others
- You are calm, professional, and accommodating in your interactions with colleagues, children, and guardians.
