Unika Envägen's group home is located in Hallstavik. The group home has six apartments and common areas in the same stairwell of a rental building.
About the Role as Support Assistant
As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, and always use their personal implementation plan as your starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we build on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work using clarifying pedagogy and low-affect interactions to create security and predictability in users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget.
Qualifications
You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
Very good ability in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
Experience working in healthcare and care services
Meritorious if you also have:
Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-affect interactions.
Worked with complex support needs and challenging behaviors.
Upper secondary education such as childhood and leisure program, care and health program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or higher education in a relevant field.
Driver's license
