We're inviting an animal keeper to our team in the Savanna animal section! What will you do daily? care for savanna animals – antelopes, zebras, giraffes, primates, etc. – including their daily care and welfare; maintain cleanliness and order in animal enclosures and their territory; prepare and portion animal feed according to established feeding standards and guidelines; observe animal behavior, health status, and eating habits; promptly inform responsible colleagues of any changes in animal behavior or health status; maintain cleanliness and order in animal enclosures and their territory (the work is primarily physical and takes place in various weather conditions); carefully follow established work procedures and safety requirements. This job is right for you if: you are accustomed to physical work and understand that it is an integral part of the job; can work carefully, responsibly, and patiently even when the work is physically demanding or monotonous; understand that safety regulations are not open to interpretation; can take responsibility for your work even when no one is supervising you; are prepared to work in an environment with hay, straw, dust, animal hair, and other organic materials; are looking for stable work with clearly defined responsibilities; can communicate freely in Latvian. This job likely won't be right for you if: you have difficulty following regulations, work procedures, and established processes; physical work tires or demotivates you quickly; you don't want to work in various weather conditions; you have difficulty taking responsibility for your actions and work results. We offer: full-time work with shift schedule (workday starts at 8:00 AM); compensation during the trial period 1000 EUR per month (gross), after trial period completion and training 1200 EUR per month (gross); sustainable social support (health insurance and accident insurance after trial period, additional vacation days, financial support in significant life situations, and other collective agreement benefits); an inclusive work environment, as well as an open, collaboration-oriented team and company internal culture.
